yeah, but i dont have simptoms like:

"randomly when I'm playing the display freezes, the audio loops ... and my PC is totally blocked ... sometimes a message error appear saying that the nv4_disp driver doesn't work or is blocked in an infinite loop"?

Is there any way to check the true "id" of my psu ??

Do you have access to a digital camera?

Take a photo of the ratings sticker for us : ]

Also yes you don't have the same symptoms but still your using a 350-400 w psu potentially with a very high powered card XD

I'm afraid you have the over rated one also, the 170w should not be counted in the rating of the psu

Compare it to a quality psu.

For easy comparison

Oh I notice Be quiet have refreshed the line, mine had 6 12v rails!

Your one has added 170w to 432w to 24.6w to achieve its 600w rating.

The 170w should NOT be included, your psu is 450w maximum output.

not 600 as you thought.

So it is probably PSU, and windows seven using a little bit more juice.

I still can't be 100% certain, lets wait to see what others think.

I am right that the psu is 450w maximum though.

Isn't nv4_disp driver a Nvidia driver? Sounds to me like you have driver issues.

What temp is you CPU getting too and is it happening as soon as you start playing or does it take a few mins? Have you measured the CPU speed while playing the game to make its correct as i noticed in your earler post that you mentioned it had dropped.

Whats the least intensive game you have?

Can you try turning the audio off, either in the game or sound settings in control panel. Maybe make the ATI device the default. Just trying to narrow things down, ive known bad drivers to cause video issues so disabling will be the easyest way to test, if you cant do those ways goto device manager and disable the audigy from there.

10 mines of the new BF2 with my 4870 OCed to near 4890 speed (50mhz on the GPU off) at my system reported a max usage of 322Watt, 41 of that was the 5 and 3.3v rail. so 281watts on the 12v rail.

Does the video go choppy on anything else but playing games?

Someone probably already mentioned it and this person had regular pausing with a 4890.

"Ok I turned off all background programs and it turns out Digsby (the IM app) is the culprit. I'm moving to pidgin until they fix this. Thanks for the suggestions guys, I should have thought of that myself I guess."

http://forum.beyond3d.com/showthread.php?t=55170

Turned out to be a background service causing it.
