Mmm, please try more meaningful titles next time. Read the sticky on the main forum.

As for your problem, you're right. A long beep usually means RAM problems. Do you have any other PC you can test the RAM on? And I don't know the specs of your mobo, but does it support DDR400? Either way, if it doesn't work in the other PC, it's faulty RAM.

what latency are you running the ram?

and what speed are you running them?

Try the bios update, and you can normally find your latencies via your bios or using CPUZ (do a google search).

First, clear CMOS, meaning disconnect all power from your computer.

Then, pull out the CMOS battery and wait 10sec (im saying this because it would be a hassle trying to find the BIOS clear jumper)

Plug everything back in and boot up your computer.

Everything should boot up and you go into the BIOS and set the ram in Chipset Configuration (or something like that) and you set your ram frequency to DDR333 or 166 (depending on BIOS) and set your ram latencies to 2.5-3-3-7!

Hope this works out!

EDIT: if this doesnt work out then i think your modules are doa

try winflash.

1.) if you get bios flashed set the timings to "auto" which should use the spd.
2.) if auto doesnt work, it may be bad ram.

Hmmmm, congrats! It boots!

Look around in your BIOS, the ram frequency option should be there somewhere. Maybe under the advanced menu.

Goto Windows and download CPU-Z to check your ram frequency and your latencies.

yea it still works with my old ram...

Latency says

3 cache lvls detected
lvl 1 Size = 64kb latency = 3 cycles
lvl 2 Size = 128kb latency = 20 cycles
lvl 3 Size = 256kb latency = 61 cycles

frequency is

165.8mhz

on SPD Timings

133mhz 166mhz

Hmm i still cant find the ram frequenct thing on bios... i found CAS LATENCY which waz set to 2.5, I also found FSB/DRAM RATIO which was set to SPD or somthing and MEMORY TIMINGS which was also set to SPD... and thats all i could find :(

That's it! Under the FSB/DRAM RATIO, select DDR333 or 166mhz.
And under MEMORY TIMINGS, select "custom" or "advanced" or "user config" in order to fully access the memory timings. Once you do, set the latencies to 2.5-3-3-7!

Hope this works out!

Sounds like you could have faulty ram.

Yes, you should return your RAM. Use this TechPowerUp! thread as backup for your reason to return it.
