In the spirit of all the discussion about the BST forums lately.... 
How about allowing sellers to edit the titles of their FS/FT threads indefinitely (as opposed to the current grace period of a few minutes after posting the thread)? I assume it is easy enough to do with vBulletin since OCN allows title editing and appears to use vBulletin as well.
This would allow sellers to edit their titles when:
· they sell all their items (mark as SOLD)
· they add or remove items from their sale
· update any prices listed in the title
How many times have you clicked a FS thread because a certain item in the title appealed to you, only to find it was no longer available? And who knows how many times you've missed something you wanted because the author couldn't add it to their thread title. It's not that it's a big hassle to contact a mod to change your thread title, it's that in reality most people just don't. More accurate titles can better connect buyers and sellers.
Sorry to use a "competing" forum as an example, but I think the implementation of this feature at OCN shows how useful it is. If it were added here at TPU, I would also suggest we consider making it a rule to change the titles of FS threads where everything is sold to SOLD. It's just a nice courtesy to buyers perusing the BST forums. I do know it makes OCN's marketplace a nicer place to browse.
If there's a particular reason not to implement this at TPU, that's fine. Just wanted to suggest it/find out what that reason is if one does exist. I know there's a lot of resistance to change around here, but please—look at how nice it makes the marketplace at OCN and take some time to consider it. I can think of no downside so far.
