So I've decided to get a new compy... And I want you guys to check this all out. I plan on building mid July.

Coolermaster Case
Samsung F3 500GB HDD
Antec Earthwatts 430W - Replaced with Antec NeoHE 520W
GeIL 4GB DDR3
MSI 870A Motherboard
Phenom II X6 1055T

I will be reusing my 1TB HDD and my Radeon HD 5770 from my old computer. The old compy I'm selling to a roommate who wants to play SC2 in its glory. Which the desktop will do very well. Upon hearing that my E8200 would bottleneck the 5770, I didn't realize it until I ran 3dmarks. And in L4D2 the FPS counter goes like 80 then drops to 20 then goes back to 80 and does that constantly indicated perhaps a CPU problem? anyway. What do you think? I'm more concerned about the mobo. I don't want to spend too much but I don't want anything crappy either. I've been taking a look at a 790XT board which is $10 cheaper, but for $10 might as well get something more up to date right?

So tell me what you think! All in all the compy is about $571.
Thanks in advance! ;)

Not bad imo. I'm buying something very similar (in terms of processor build). I'd be a bit worried about running all that power from a 430W psu but I'm not an expert on PSU's so don't fret about it right now. I'm not so sure about the motherboard just from the reviews of somewhat unhappy customers. But it looks like it might work so yea. Try to see if you can get any combo deals going in your order. You might be able to save quite a bit.

The PSU is really the weak spot in that build; it will be all right but may limit you in future upgrades or heavy overclocking.

lol after this I am done with computers. I just want to build one really kick-A machine before I stop. Since I'll be going into grad school in all soon.
Antec Earthwatts are pretty decent PSUs! I have one in my current desktop I'm going to sell right now.

It's fine for your single 5770, they dont draw that much power at load anyways.

lol I kinda wished I named the title differently it sounds like I'm here to sel computer parts and not talk about them

So after more searching I'm swapping out the 430W with an Antec NeoHE 520W
Antec NEO ECO 520C 520W Continuous Power ATX12V v2...

What can I say? I love Antec. This unit is made by Seasonic too.

And cheers Kansans! :toast:
