Hey guys,

I was wondering if you think the CM690 II side panel would fit on the original CM690 case. Here's the side panel that i would love to have on it: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B003AVMRP2/?tag=tec06d-20

I know there is a transparent window for the original CM690, but i don't the like look of the window on it. I also don't want to mod my current side panel(don't have the time nor space to do something like that)

So will it fit?, and if not what do you think would be the best solution?

But if push comes to shove, i will probably just get the original CM690 transparent window.

:)

Nope, CM 690 has four slots for the catches at the top and bottom and CM 690 II Advanced has just three. It would take some modification to do.

But, they sell this one(Transparent Acrylic Side Window Panel CM 690) or you can mod the one you got with it or buy a spare and mod it.

Oops, did not read your last line. Sorry.:slap:

I could've sworn I was using that one above on my II (and in fact said so in the 690 II thread) but just tried to slap it on (usually run open actually im always tinkering with my loop or something) and it is the right size but the holes don't line up properly. Guess I'm just high.

I really like the looks of the window on that one for the II but kinda need a side input fan too...

Pretty sure only the the CM 690 panel fits on. I remember a thread not too long ago asking if the CM 690 II would be able to work with the CM 690 panel, and the answer was no. Unless you busted out the tools, that is.

On a personal note, I prefer the looks of the older style 690 panel window to the new 690 II window.

Again I just tried and ya it fits fine but the screw holes don't match up. But yeah it can be done...

Update us when it's installed but may as well do so in the 690 II thread...

You won't regret it, really makes the 690 I look great, I spent $20 to get mine and was very happy with it.
