[WTB][US] Looking for parts for cruncher #2

Okay guys, I've changed my mind AGAIN.

I'm going to use this ASRock mobo for my cruncher #2/GF's rig, so I need all the cheap/free parts I can get to make it happen, as I want to get it done by the 15th, but I simply don't have much money to spare since it's all going to the ring at the moment. (The 15th is our three year anniversary, and I was planning on popping the question.)

I already have a keyboard, mouse, a 17" monitor, the mobo, and a Zalman CPU cooler. As long as my birthday present from my brother get's here before then, I'll have my current processor to use for it.

What I need right now is...

A decent PCI-E graphics card, the mobo does have onboard, but it's not so great.
A better CPU? The Athlon X2 I have is usable, but I'd rather give it a better CPU. I'd be willing to give my current X2 as compensation after I get my new CPU.

onboard would work fine for crunching but if you want HDMI use then i seen a 8400GS for like 15$ shipped the other day, i will search for it

At the very least a 8800GT/GTX.

A 9600GSO/GT, or 9800GT (a 9500GT would work for now.)

a 4770, 4850, or 4870 would be fine.

Anything over those would simply be too overkill. But I'd be okay with them. Please note I wouldn't be able to pay much, if anything.

Brandon, the 17" she's has is only D-SUB/VGA. No need for HDMI.

I have some lesser cards then you are looking for very cheap, but they would be better than onboard. Radeon 2400, X1300, X600 (IIRC).

Sata HDD, 80GB or larger.

I got a 80gig SATA HD, I would let go for $15.00 plus $5.00 for shipping it to you...
It's used but still works great and it's a 7200 RPM Seagate I think (might be a WD have to check when I get home). :toast:

Tex, that would be great! Let me know more about it when you get home, if you could run CrystalDiskInfo and send me a screenshot that would be great. Although like I said before I can't really afford much. Since I'm out of work this week and I have to pay for a ring. *sigh*

That would be nice, I think FIH The Don might have a 2 X 1 GB kit for me once they get back from RMA, that is, if he chooses to give them to me.

I've got a little HEC/Orion 485W PSU sitting in the closet. Used for a few months on the HTPC before getting the 400W Corsair. Never had any problems with it but it's got short cords (meant for mATX builds) and doesn't have any PCIe power connectors. I'll give you a deal on it, PM me if interested
