Double click on the *.exe file and it should load a program from which you can load and edit any ATI bios. (use ATITool to dump your bios if you haven't already)

Theres my catylist version5.5+ with 8 active pipes wtf. I relinstalled 6.6 still says this in ATITool... I tried ATI flash it wouldent load up for me.

So is my driver wrong 5.5 seems messed.. if so how can I update it.

I guess I'll probably just give up on the Rabit thing, since my computer never wants to work right for me anyway.

Ok ati tool 0.25 tells me i got 12 shaders (guesss the 0.24 wasent reading my card), now I will try to get ati winflash to take my bios again.

Update :
#1 when I go to open ati winflash it says "error reading from the rom". humm.......
#2 atitool 0.24 now says i got 4 active pipelines and when I ask it to dump bios its just dont show up where I tell it to (desktop).

Anyone know how I can fix the prob with winflash? guess I have to use winflash to get a bios from a
x1900 series card.

ATITool 0.24 will report any card using 5.5 or newer drivers as 5.5+. That is no fault with the card. If you have an X1900 I think that that should still have more than 12 pipelines acive though, or do you have another card you are trying to mod?

ok on another note, I got a new psu... http://www.pcabusers.com/reviews/enermax/noisetaker-eg425p/p2.htm

Ok on ati tool 0.25

Device ID : 724b
Chip name : R580LE <<< does that mean R580PRO ?
Memory size is 256 mb
Memory Bus Width 256 Bit
Active Pipelines : 12

But my problem is that I cannot make a bios with winflash 10, the bios from ati Tool 0.24 is not acepted by Rabit 2.1 for me.

Oh ya Jimmy, This is my first video card ever and first computer I bought (bought it brand new from gateway :p)

Edit : My card seems to run hot just turned on my comp 20 mins ago and its idle is 61c when I was gaming need for speed most wanted I seen it at 86c with my old psu I hope this one helps with cooling I read somewhere that if u do not have enough amps going to your video card it could cause heat... I took these temps with my box open...

(looks like I am going to need after market cooling = more money $50 Canadian, would a fan blowing on the card help much?)

Yeah, its the exact same PSU I got. Enermax is a damn good PSU. I have the noisetaker coolblue, with adjustable fan on. Its barely audible and its very good at cooling. Also, pretty damn stable and has yet to cause me any problems. The next psu I get is gonna be the Enermax Liberty, unless I get me one of those 1kW jobbies :):nutkick:

I was thinking of the liberty with its nice packaging and being modular, but atm I dont have the extra money and the nosietaker seems to be just as good at delivering power (the 400 watt liberty got 30 constant amps on the 12 volt rail - mine 29).

I think the noise is to do with my case, it poped up now and again but I will fix that myself.

P.S.- I forgot to mention I am not overclocking my card and wouldent want to with these temps.

on my last post I had edited it and asked about cooling, dont think you guys read that yet.

No, I havent read it yet. Ill take a look. Yeah, Enermax's are some of the best. I love the noisetaker that compaq included with this one. Its just like yours exactly except I believe mine is either 500W or 550. The noisetaker coolblue :). Gawds I love it. Lemme look and see what ya asked :)

Yeah, Artic silver has a nice card cooling solutions, and its pretty cheap at newegg.com. Someone else on here in one of these forums had mentioned it, and its a damn good deal too. I think it would really help with your temps. If you had the money, the Zalman Fatal1ty is good too, but a little bit expensive. Im going to go with the Artic Cooling one I saw on newegg. My Big Typhoon is already gonna be a huge presence in my pc :p

u mean arctic cooling? i would get the ati silencer 5 rev 2... all ur temp troubles will beaway if u get that cooler with arctic silver mx-1 and

also... if anyone ever complains about noise... its me because i have 9 case fans and 11 total including 1 cpu and one gpu fan... i have 2 70+ cfm fans 5 25cfm fans and 2 50+ cfm fans, they are all 80mm and makes my case look really goofy... lol it is like every 2 cm theres a hole... the noise is over 100dba but atleast my pc is cool, its 20c case temp and 25c cpu temp... ya
