One way for kids to beat the heat during summer break is by staying cool indoors and playing the latest 3D graphics computer games. However, if they've got an AGP based mainboard, swapping their computer for the latest PCI-Express system to play the latest 3D games can be a pricey proposition. Albatron answers the call with a powerful new AGP option focusing on a large community of very capable AGP based mainboards still occupying the market.

The AGP7600GS graphics card boasts an NVIDIA 7600GS core that is part of the powerful G73 family. This core employs 90 nanometer process technology which consumes less power thus generating less heat and allowing more room for faster core frequencies. Compared to its predecessor 6600GT, the AGP7600GS boasts a 25% performance increase despite its lower core and memory frequencies - an indication of the advancement in cooler, more efficient processing technologies.

AGP7600GS uses an AGP 8x interface. The core has a frequency of 400 MHz and contains 12 pipelines. It also has 256 MB of high speed 700 MHz GDDR2 memory with a 128-bit memory bus. The AGP7600GS boasts an improved fan/heat sink which is quieter than previous generations. As well, the fan/heat sink provides better air flow, even allowing it to cool adjacent components on the card.

The AGP7600GS fully supports Microsoft DirectX 9.0c, OpenGL 2.0, Shader Model 3.0, Intellisample 4.0 and is Windows VistaTM ready. The 3D graphics calculations include high quality anti-aliasing techniques and HDR (High Dynamic Range) technology featuring the most advanced and realistic lighting effects for graphics imaging.

The AGP7600GS pushes the limits of wide-screen, high resolution display with a Dual-Link DVI connector and NVIDIA's Xtreme-HD technology supporting 2560x1600 resolutions. These innovations allow for a wider, clearer field of vision which is not only a more natural environment for your eyes but it also has gaming advantages, allowing you to see more of your surroundings, including obstacles, buildings and, in some cases, your enemies. This card also includes NVIDIA's PureVideoTM which now incorporates the latest in high compression H.264 video coding.

If you're looking to improve your gaming and video facilities and you want to stay with your current AGP mainboard, the Albatron AGP7600GS offers the advantages of all of the latest technologies, bringing you full game play performance, high definition graphics with the most advanced rendering techniques available for your system.

Sounds tempting, but I will get Leadtek's 7600GT on AGP (560Mhz core and 1400Mhz DDR3 mem ;) )
