BSOD about memory

Ok i´ve been pushing my Pentium D and i have stability at 3510mhz but when i push it over 3550mhz this BSOD appear talking about physical memory i got the hint and lowered my memory to 400mhz and pushed my cpu to 3600mhz and ran sm2.0 to see if it was stable the BSOD appeared again and i was shocked cause it kept talking about the memory and the memory was under stock with stock voltage and timings.
Before anyone says its the mobo my mobo supports 1066mhz FSB and the highest temp i get on my cpu is 36º running benchmarks.
Can anyone figure out what's going on?

huh thats crzy you could try loosening the timings anyway sometimes they still have probs even underclocked (the ram anyway)

Not at all, my memory is stable at 610mhz but at 480mhz isn't.
The BSOD is also showing this:

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Anyone know what this means?

(That 2nd one doesn't apply as much as the first does imo, & you are showing a problem related to memory stability imo @ least, due to your overclocking experimentations... it's VERY possible you are just "pushing TOO hard" etc.)

This can be related to memory, &/or hardware (specifically via less than perfectly written device drivers & the OS HAL (hardware abstraction layer), because after all, that IS how modern Windows NT-based OS' view & talk to the hardware, thru those means)...

BUT, in your case, running overclocks as you are? Well... I lean more towards that being the cause - you're just hitting your systems' upwards tolerances is all!

What if my ram OC'ed is really imcopatible with XP? Well this BSOD has appeared to me also when the memory was underclocked so.
I could clean my registry but i don't think that'll help much.

i got some minor instability too on, but is on my cpu, i guess my psu is shorting out on me

i can't get it stable at 2.6ghz

I doubt it, but you never know... all I can say is, because you are o/c'ing? Memory is one of the areas that is REALLY "touchy" & I found that out before I got Ketxxx, POGE, & Tatty One helping me go thru the memory "timing chain" of numbers re-tighten phase of my o/c here on these forums they helped me with.

That makes me wonder... I'd ask Ketxxx @ this point about his thoughts on that. I saw BSOD's when I tried to OC beyond what my memory type (DDR-400 stock typical stuff, not o/c ready higher-end RAM) could tolerate.

Most people don't realize 1 fact:

That "BSOD" protects YOU... from YOU!

(Especially in the case of o/c'ing TOO 'radically') &/or vs. errant drivers &/or processes (e.g.-> When overwriting another process memory space for instance... & other causes too).

* BSOD's are NOT a "bad thing" in all viewpoints...

just in case your interested canuto,

my psu is a seasonic s12 430watt and it seemed to handle my 4386mhz oc pretty well.i completed the test at that clock so i guess its ok.

silly question but,have you tried running your mem lower and your fsb higher using a divider?.

Ketxxx is probably going to be of the greatest assist to you on this account, because I am assuming @ least, this is memory related because of the BSOD's you saw & their stopcode definitions...

He helped me get around "madness-N-lunacy" like BSOD's, via loosening up certain "ram timing-chain" numbers I was using (see the URL below, or ask him directly, in regard to that... it worked for me, perhaps it will you as well/also):

P.S.=> From what I understand, doing really "TIGHT" timings (as close as you can get to original settings using dividers stepping down from say DDR-400, to DDR-333 as I had to because of the stock/oem "non-overclocker ready" RAM I use)... it's GREAT for tests like SuperPi... & not so great for really going after the TRUE o/c your system MAY be able to handle... some loosening is required, because it helped me score a GREAT DEAL higher on the ScienceMark 2.0 tests we did here (that & lower temps)... apk
