Hi

Hi. I bought this AGP ATI card of some Ebay store. They sell it as ATI X800 GTO Built by ATI. However it's not on ATI site anywhere. Is it a fake? Rebranded? OEM? Or what?

From sticker on card:
SN: 180538 906504
Radeon X800 256MB
PN: 102A4900500 000001

From PCB (it's a red pcb): PN:109-A49001-00

So, is this an Original Built by ATI card, as they claim on their store? If yes, what model is it? If no, then who built this card?

look on atis site under discontinued cards.. the x800 i believe was discontinued because alot of people flashed it to x800xtpe with HIGH clock speeds and extra pipes.. if you look, you wont find it in any store for a reasonable price(such as newegg or zipzoom, not ebay)

**and hes asking which one of those brands is your card?

i cant tell from sn numbers, take a picture of the card and then i can tell from look.

i'm sorry if i'm being an ass, but any chance we could get a close up of the gpu core itself?

that cooler looks way underspec, if i'm not mistaken, for an x800 gto, but i don't everything by anymeans, so maybe it's just a different cooler than i've ever seen

i don't think it matters what brand you got for flashing and whatever anyway

use ati tool and show us a screenshot
go to settings - overclocking

scroll the bar in the middle all the way down until you see some config_die_fuses and etc etc

we need to see all the hex digits in the last 6 items in the scroll down menu from within the overclocking sub menu

The PCB PN is for X800XL AGP (VIVO).

I was about to say the Sapphire version as the cooler is definately from a x800GTO sapphire card.

Your card will unlock to 16 pipes. Save your original BIOS and post it here (to be modded to 16 pipes). You can also use X800XL VIVO AGP BIOS from the collection. Don't forget to flash with atiflash in DOS mode using the following command line:

atiflash -f -p -newbios 0 biosname.bin (biosname should be max. 8 symbols)

OK here you are moded to 16 pipes BIOS. Flash it as described above and have fun.

atiflash -f -p -newbios 0 x80016p.bin
