That's because ATi quit making them, the core cost to much to make, the 1900GT was supposed to replace them. It failed it doing that, now they are releasing the X1950PRO to do that.

Exactly! The extra $90 for an X1800XT 512Mb isn't worth the few FPS increase...so you just wasted money, when you could've gotten a 7900GTX, 7900GTO, or even the X1800XT 256Mb, which performs the same as the 512Mb.

i will show you people some half life 2 lost coast stress test 1600x1200 x4 aa x16 af hdr max, everything benchmarks, the x1800xtpe whips the 7900 GTX's ass bad. i score like 67/70 fps 7900 GTX latest benchmarks only like 56 fps lol.

nvidia cards are pretty shitty, they got more pixel pipelines and barly match 16 pixel pipeline card released in october 2005 LOL, 7900 gtx 2006 lol.

The cards work different, ATi more pixel shaders, and Nvidia more pixel pipelines. Different technology's at play :rockout:

anyone still believe 1920x1200 is higher res than 1792x1344? multiply both numbers to get the amount of pixels per res,you will see from common sense 1792x1344>1920x1200. just different aspect .

The architecture matters more than Paper Specs IMO. Look at the Core 2 Duo series for CPU, the E6300 is only 1.86Ghz, but it beats Pentium D's, even though some of the Pentium D's have better Paper Specs! It's the architecture that matters.
