ATITool runs just fine(both the current release and beta) and I can watch the 3D image but if I attempt to adjust the core or memory clocks my card immediately crashes and the computer either reboots or the VPU recovery console takes everything back to normal

anyone have any input?

I got same problem on my MBP 15". Only 0.25 beta 14 works fine with overclocking, but still doesn't show temperatures and there is no way to see or change the GPU voltage.
I wish it could do at least some of those features. Then I wouldn't mind paying for this soft

P.S. Forgot to mention, 0.26 and any other than beta 14, doesn't recognise true GPU and VRAM speeds, doesn't recognise real number of pipelines and absolutely useless piece of soft for MacBook Pro's ATI X1600
