Not real. They did not even have a real 8800 GTX to test, either. Oh well, proof that if you publish, people will come. Looks like a good way to get some web ads sold.

maybe if they had some pics, i would believe it, but they didnt even have pics of the 8800 or 7950 or 1950's, so how are we supposed to believe them?

I believe a few developer cards are out there as of now. In which I would make a guess that this R600 in being one of those cards. I believe this review to be true the only thing buggy about it is that this is the ONLY thing at their site.

lol it loaded for me this time ...looks and reads like it right but i was expecting more ...this means ATI will be ontop for maybe best 45-60 days cuz I but the compitition already has better than that on the way ...OBL. was impressive though...and sure would like to see some crossfire scores

Too funny. I guess the ATI fans will believe the scores since they are above the 8800GTX. The only problem is that the 8800 GTX numbers are way too low. So, if those were real ATI card scores, I would be disappointed. And, of all the sites that may have access to an ATI engineering sample, why such a little known, no reputation site would even get one is questionable. And, since the NVIDIA numbers are not even close, it even further invalidates the numbers. Simple BS site with BS numbers. Nothing more.

Whether the results are close is not at issue. What is at issue is that the results are too low to be real. Also, just look ar the Croosfire numbers. What's with that? Those are very far off. And, I am not sure where you got the other 8800GTX scores. Is that with a QX6700 at 3.2GHz on a 680i board? Are they at HQ settings or the default quality setting for NVIDIA?

With a QX6700 at 3.2 Ghz, the RAM at 800 Mhz, and the 8800 GTX card at stock clocks with HQ settings, 1600x1200, 4xAA and 16xAF, the real score is 7749 not 6368. So, their fake results are too low. I will have to try 05. Result to follow. Wish I had FEAR to test.

All mine are bought. 01, 03, 05 and 06. And, if I recall correctly, 05 scores should be more like 12,500.

Wiz didnt even score that. Every setup will give slightly different scores from one setup to another.

Depends on the CPU and motherboard used. Since I have the same setup the site tested, it is relatively easy to compare. And, we are not talking OC results, just stock (aside from the CPU). So, unless Wiz had a QX6700 and a 680i, it is kind of hard to compare like to like. All I know is the results from that site are off a little too much to be written off to simple variance.

EDIT: Well, just ran 3Dmark05 with the cards at stock, HQ settings, 4xAA, 16xAF, 1600x1200 with the CPU at 3.2 GHZ and the RAM at 4-4-4-12 800MHz. The score was close to what I recalled, 12,326.

That's what I was wondering...

Another point is that these are sketchy beta drivers versus nVidia's not-so-beta drivers. Expect the numbers to go up after real drivers come out.

It's fake, I have seen this before, they fake some tests and buy a Domain and stick ad's on it and submit it to the Tech sites and Bam. $1500 in Ad hits.

Funny.

No, all settings to hurt performance turned up to HQ. No LOD changes (0).

Besides, with a little OC (630/990) and the driver settings set to performance, at the same 1600x1200 res and settings, the score is more like 8700. Without AA and AF enabled, 11K. At default benchmark settings, 13K.
