I came up with the idea on my own, although I am sure it has been done before. ;) It works really well especially when the air coming in below the video card is coming in through a 12" long tube that goes out the window behind the pc.

I prevent moisture/condensation by keeping the front cover closed on the insulated closet I built. The temperature in the closet stays very cold with the window open. Right now my CPU is idle at 35c and the GPU is idle at 20c.

my cooling set up is:

120mm blue led fan on front blowing air over my hdd and into case

80mm blue led fan on side of case blowing air in

80mm blue led fan on top of case blowing air out

120mm blue led fan on back of case blowing air out

120mm blue led fan on psu bowing air out

gfx cooling is HIS iceq 2 on a x850xt

cpu cooler is a akasa ak-961

so you built the little cubby hole on your window seal? not a bad idea, but I think a cheaper cooling solution would be to buy a better heatsink..hehe

yeah I built a little closet, with things I had around the garage. I'll have lots of free cold air to use for a few months. maybe someday I'll get
a nice looking case and some fancier looking cooling solutions. But for the record I bet it's a lot colder that most air cooled systems, especially with stock fan on cpu and gpu.:toast:

right now with the window closed I have CPU 38c and GPU 28c...system 20c:cool:

That's what I'm doing to mine too :D Good minds think alike. I've got a 120mm under my graphics card. Doesn't really do much, but I still put it there :) See, me and ny_driver are 1337.

I didn't build a closet though!!

Ill show pics of my outside air cooled setup sometime this week after its done, will be on a shitty webcam cause my sis has my digi cam but hey it will still show lol

and I have a 80mm fan on top blowin in and another 80mm on the side blowin in and a 120mm on the back exhausting and another 80mm on the PSU exhausting
