The one that is my new system here soon is the sparkle in the Tier 3 area. Not a bad PSU, it says High quality PSU's..so im lucky. Rosewill PSU's are in last, but I have had no problem with this one since I have had it.

Edit: But hell that is just a article for you. Anything could happen to a PSU at anytime.

depends on the model for raidmax, the ones that say raidmax taht come with many cases are low end units, but again articals are based on oppenion, im sure antech is listed higher then i would list it today, simply because they have a good past rep.

raidmax does make some higher end psu's but they are getting hard to find. look for aluminum shelled raidmax psu's they are awsome for the price, prolly tier 2 quality. also the same could be said about rosewill... im guessing he tested generics from these to brands. i use thier upper level moddels almost exclusivly in customers pc's. they even hold up to sever overclock abuse.

mines a tier 1 psu. PC power an cooling BABY!! oh yeah.

fortron sparkle should be tear2, they are all of high quility in my exp, and they are what i mainly go for when i make people new costom pc's, i also like epower/tagen and xcilo for known brands

scythe is a great brand, their units are kickass, well priced for their power and i havent had one fail yet no matter the load it was put under!!!

I have an Antec as well in my second rig.
However, I must say that Antec's rep. as of late has been hurting.
They have been recently putting out PSUs which have had a high failure rate.

It's sad; it seems like every good company goes to crap and then springs back eventually when people are pissed enough to stop buying their brand... it's like an endless cycle. ASUS comes to mind recently as well for a great company that's started slacking on CQ, etc. Sony also... :ohwell:

asus support sucks, but thats really not something new, they havent been great at bios or driver support since i can remmber, you alwase had to go to 3rd party sites tog get updated drivers!!!!
and they alwase blame user error or other hardware vendors for bios related incompatabilities with their boards.
asus 9550/9600 cards that wont work with asus motherboards because the bios arent compatable with eachother(flash the asus 9550/9600 with another companys bios and they work 90% of the time)

antech, well they do this is cycles, they get their rep up up up then trash it by selling crap via that rep, its an endless cycle, its why years ago i stoped reccomending their psu's.
enermax for example NEVER HAS DONE THAT, they had a few querky models, but if you had a problem and called them, they would replace the model with an updated version PDQ:)

Why is iGreen Tier 4 but SLI Certified :wtf:.

HOW THE F*** IS IT A TIER 4???!!

Just because a PSU is SLI Certified doesnt mean that there are quality parts in the PSU.
The way a PSU gets the SLI Certification is two things:
1. Have 2 PCI-E cables (so it can easily SLI 2 Nvidia cards)
2. Pay some money to Nvidia to get the SLI Certification

I never heard of Zippy either.
However, I have heard of Xclio.
They use the same OEM parts that OCZ uses.
They just arent as well known, hence their PSUs are a little cheaper.
They are like a Sparkle.
