@tdbone1:
As already said, I have same card as you, see my previous post. If you want, I can post my bios file, but, most probably, you'll get artifacting in 3D, 'cause I'm using Thermaright HS and you're on stock... |

Any Bios for the HIS X1950 Pro 512, 575/1380 (690) (Mine 573.73/688) AGP. Ive yet to hear the Cards fan raise in noise. Would i have to add a Heatsink to the Converter Chip on back of card? Ive tried overclocking with ATI Tray tools and Overdrive, the Chip Clocks fine, the Ram does not even with a 1 Meg increase.

so is the x1950Pro the only board that has such a quirk, as other boards i had as of 9700 and 9800 you could up it in 1 MHz Incriments. I assume the X1950XT/XTX are not plagued by this problem. Beyond that the card has the stock single slot cooler. Hell the 9800 256 in my Inspiron XPS Gen 1 was able to go from 351/300 all the way up to 459/417, and play games Excellent.

Hello folks, I am planning to buy a X1950Pro, in order to undervolt it because of its good performance and lower powerconsumption.
My question: can anybody with a X1950GT/Pro with the ability to change the voltage in his BIOS and all the voltage-regulating components on the PCB (for executing the change in voltage), send his PCB-revision number to me? It must be somewhere on the card. Then I can call some shops for asking about the rev numbers. And, pics are always welcome, because I don't know how that PCB is shaped. Please guys, do this for an environment-friendly guy

Do you know what memory is on those HIS cards? I'm assuming Samsung, but just so I know and can state it.

Memory
Well Ketxxx, I dont know to tell you the truth, and the way the GPU cooling is mounted, i wouldnt want to take it off unless if i have Aftermarket Cooling i want to install or have some Akasa Shinetsu TIMs for the Ram Modules, as it appears the TIMS on the card are like thick Foam(Wax/Paraffin) Im not sure whats on the GPU itself tho. Sorry about that bro. Ill be going on leave Friday the 6 of July, I wont be back until 2 weeks later. I may pull the Cooler off when i get a Few Packs of TIMs. Unless if Aftermarket Cooling is great on this board ill hold off changing the cooling. Anyone have Tried and true cooling solutions for the X1950 Pro, Please Share. If anyone has another suggestion for TIMs for the Ram on the Card Please do tell, as the Shinetsu are like paper thin, ive used them on a 9800 256 for GPU and the Northbridge in my Dell Inspiron XPS Gen1, had to be stacked, worked extremely well.

Well I just tried almost every Bios available for my ASUS EAX1950PRO, but I still get the video signal loss or corrupted textures with a hard lock....so I'm guessing i may have a faulty PSU. I only have a Antec TB 480w with 22A, I know that the amps is under the recommended amount, but there are some people that have my PSU and the video card works fine so I thought it might be a bios or cooling issue. Hopefully it is the PSU and not the card as I can't RMA it since I bought it off Ebay...I'm gonna order the Corsair 620w and see what happens.
![]() The only bios that didnt work for the ASUS and I had to blind flash it back was the "x1950_mod_1.7.zip" from post p54 #1330. |

1950Pros are very problematic for most people. I found the loss of signal issue to be caused by poorly set memory and refresh timings, of course this doesnt mean its the only thing that causes the problem. Doing a VGPU pencil mod should probably be the first step for anyone getting problems, simple and quick to do, and if problems persist even after the mod, its likely a better idea to send the card back.

If I did I've since forgotten. Over the last 5-7 days (or something like that) I've had like 100 PMs.
