DX10 Patch for Company of Heroes!

I installed the latest patch and now there is a "Shader Quality" option for DX10!!!

I am downloading Vista Ultimate from Technet now. I will get it all loaded and post back here tomorrow afternoon.

I didnt think the Nvidia Vista drivers right now support DX10? Just DX9 under Vista...

I still have to see for myself. I am pulling an all nighter! Watching Platoon while Vista Downloads and then install it all and try to "Enable it".

If I can't then I will start working out how to mod it. If the shaders are there, then I will get it to where I can see 'em.

Not anymore, they fixed that

. There's just no SLI for DX10. Had the Cascade techdemo running here, which is quite impressive btw.

OMG that's a lot of screen shots!!!

1st attempt has failed. I will try again tomorrow. I need sleep it is 4am here.

However, Performance w/ Vista seems to be fine.
Vista Retail Version, DX10, nVidia "100.64_winvista_64bit_english", and Sound Blaster X-Fi Music Drivers Work, Wireless NIC Drivers Work.

Much better than the first time I tried Vista Last Year. The drivers just wheren't there. Now it seems to be "Okay" but not great. I got my First Bluse Screen after 1 hour use of Vista. :laugh:

Even at 1920x1440 I get 54FPS Avg w/ my 8800GTS in Vista. :rockout:

I think it was because my CPU and Memory were OverClocked. lol
I have set them to the default speeds and since then no BlueScreens.

As far as getting DX10 to work in COH. It ain't happening. I was hoping it would be a Reg Hack or mabe a mod a .dll, but no joy. Oh well I guess we have to wait for the patch like everyone else.

Also Yahtzee, I may not be able to play tonight due to I lost my COH Online Password! And I don't remember my secret Question! I also couldn't find my Book w/ my SERIAL!!! So I had to search the registry to get it. For your info it is at...

My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\THQ\Company of Heroes\ProductKey

So even w/ the key I am still SCREWED!!! I forgot my password and the answer to my secret question. I can log in w/ my old image of XP "cause the password was saved" but the files are corrupt so it won't stay logged in.

Sorry Yahtzee.

I will go over to the COH forums and try to figure out how to reset my password w/o my secret answer.

No help on PlanetCOH Forums. This problem has only been since after the latest patch!

I found a Fix for the Password Problem!!!

I restored an old XP image and looked in...
My Docs\My Games\Company of Heroes

playercfg file is what you need. It has your stored correct password (Hopefully) you replace the file w/ the good one in your new install and it works fine.
However, I still don't know my Password or secret Question!

Whatever, works for now.

Also I have an idea on how to enable DX10. I will keep posting here.
