Well I have just about finished getting all my parts for my new personal dream machine.
Mobo: Asus A8R32 MVP deluxe
CPU: Opteron 170 LCB9E 0652 WPMW
PSU: Hiper 580w modular chrome CF certified
Optical: Samsung DVD burner w/Lightscribe
HD: Seagate Barracuda SATAII 16mb cache 320gb w/perpendicular recording, ncq
Case: Kingwin SK523 w/window black w/blue cathode
Cooling: Modded Arctic Freezer Pro 64 w/Vantec Tornado 92mm, lapped
2x120mm case fans, replaced NB heatsink w/vantech chipset HSF dual slot led pci fan/blue.
Vidcard: Sapphire x1900gt
My original plan was to get one x1950 pro 512mb, and another later for internal crossfire, but my kids busted our printer and the wife was hankering for a PDA real bad so I lost some of my rig money and it was either using my x800 gto or something in the $140 range. The Sapphire x1900gt has about the same specs as the x1950 pro no internal CF but I am only using it till I can get something better. It might work out for the best since ATI's next gen DX10 cards should be all internal crossfire capable (no mastecards yeah!!). Later going to get a water cooling setup, some internal prefab kit probably.
I would like anyones opinion on this card that has it and any issues I might need to look out for. I will put it in one of my other rigs once I get the cards I really want, but at least I only paid $129 from newegg, lucky for me I hope.
