The intention of this thread is to (hopefully) be stickied, so that all people needing help will read this, and know how to ask their questions to get the fastest answers they can.

#1 We arent mind readers. Give us every bit of information you have.

#2 Read the forum rules, and fill the "System specs" section in the 'User CP' - Its at the top left of your screen, in the darker colored bar.

#3 If you noticed any changes leading up to the problem, please tell us! (Strange rattles, a thunderstorm, etc)

Here is a good example for you: (Using a modified version of my specs)

With this much information, its easy! We can quickly help you with your problem, and you can get a nice easy fix for your problem.
(For this problem, the answer was a bios setting, and using a 64 bit operating system)

I figure if it isn't gonna be stickied, it should at least get a bump here and there to keep it within the attention of others. Mussels, you could possibly add a couple of different questions, that may help new users and would give them multiple templates to work with. Just a thought. Hope this get's stickied.

yes it would i agree, mind you i dont play counter strike no more soooo bored of it, mind you i can hardly talk i still play HALO SOF 2 and COD online, nothing like owning the n00bs or lack of em on the classics lol

Dan has a great point...it's kind of up to us to help referr the ones too ignorant or just unaware to go and read more before asking for help. But at least with threads like this, mine and the forum rules we have links to easily send them to, which if we recommend they will generally read.

I worked as a hardware reviewer. I suddenly stopped trusting hardware reviews.

so the sane part of this thread, is more on track with - we have stickies, they should possibly be improved/expanded upon. (maybe 2/3 stickies on diff topics - "general rules", "need help?" and so on)
