It's easy. How do you think a midrange card should perform on newer games?

For example I would call a good midrange card if it is capable of:

Crysis on High at 1280x1024 or 1680x1050 smooth gameplay.

UT3/GOW/COD4/Bioxhock Highest settings at 1600x1200, 1680x1050, smooth gameplay at 4xAA.

What do you think? Let us know.

I expect a mid-range card ($150)to play the newest titles on mostly high but some medium settings at 1280x1024 or 1440x900.

I think that $150 isn't much these days for video cards, but hopefully that will change.

I'm afraid no such card exists...
HD3850 256MB might be closest but only without AA.

It can do what i asked for, there are benchmarks out there showing it.
Anyway I was asking about an hypothetical card, if you think a real card fits well, then say.

TBH I started this thread because a guy who said he thinks a midrange card should be able to run new games at good quality and high resolution (1920x1200 I suppose) with smoothness. A card that does that has a name in my book (High-end), so I wanted to know what people think about it. Maybe I was wrong and those expectations for a midrange are common on the gaming community, after all...
