hey, so i am trying to cool down my system a lot, and so far my 8800gtx is the only thing that is above 45C. now i see ncix finally has the HR-03 Plus back in stock, and i have th HR-11 and it did lower the temps a little. is it worth the money to get the unit, and try to fit a 120 mm fan on it?

its the king of air cooling on video cards if thats what you're wondering, with a silverstone 121
fan(110cfm 40dba) you'll have the gpu very very cool.

I wouldn't really bother, you might get the temps a degree or 3 lower. 45C sounds pretty good, and you've got tons of fans in your system. But hey, why not?

And thanks for getting "Superfreak" stuck in my head.....

My 1950xtx went down to 37 idle and loaded in the mid/high 50's (with a 92mm Panaflo), so yes, it is very good. Just an fyi - your CPU/case temps may go up a few degrees, since the heat will not be forced out the back like the stock cooler, so you should have very good airflow inside the case to exhaust it.

Edit: saw your specs - you have lots of fans, so case/cpu temps should be fine.

actually naw man, the most i hear in my comp is the raptor spinning up sometimes, and the 8800 gtx fan, besides thats my comp is really silent. only time i really hear things is when gaming too, but even then can't hear it that much because of the sound system.

UPDATE:
got the Thermalright HR-03 plus on, and also attached the Noctua S-12 as well, man is it silent.... temps went down about 2-6C depending on room temps and if i open the front door on my p182. and now i hear nothing in my system.... its totally worth it if you want to silence a system with a 8800 card in it.... i will post pictures soon, i am just too tired tonight
