If so what kind of results are you getting ?
Is there any one that can give step by step on how to do this ?
Just want to know if it would be worth it to do .

well make sure that the ssc settings work properly on the regular gt, and if thats the case, have someone make sure that the ssc's bios is compatible with the regular gt (usually if its the same company, same memory chips, same memory timings, etc. it should work) and then you can flash it,

or, just set the speeds of the ssc card to the regular card's bios, but dont replace the regular cards bios with the ssc bios, just edit the regular cards bios with the ssc speeds.

hat(i think) can help you there, i think he has a bios flashing specifically for nvidia (whereas w1zz's guide is universal and covers a lot of methods, which may confuse you) and he has a bios editing guide too, so he should be be able to help. otherwise, ketxxx is the bios guru, you can always run your edited bios by him and stuff just make sure, etc. etc.

Installed my Asus 8800GT today and modded by BIOS in Nibitor and flashes it, TBH it was good with just the 1.05V as I could get 740 stable for 15 minutes in ATi tools artifact scanner but after the mod............785 on the core, 1962 on the shaders and 1025 on the memory :D now this card is gonna fly! I have an Artic Cooling Accelero S1 on her (thanks Trt!) with both a 120mm and 90mm fan mounted and she idles at 32C and has not gone above 44C at load and that was testing the overclock for 25 minutes in ATI tool artifact scanner, all in all a nice days work :toast:

Once I have got my new hardware sorted I am gonna give this baby a 3D Mark 2005 and 2006 run! Pics below:

@ Trickson, it's really easy, download Nibitor 3.5b and NVflash 5.57 I think tha latest is, format a DOS boot disk (supposing you have a floppy?), extract NVflash plus the other file to the floppy, dump your exisiting bios and save it as old.rom (I use ATI tool for this under "misc" but you can do it from Nibitor), open it in Nibitor, go to voltages, add 1.1V to "extra", save as new.rom, copy both old and new to floppy.

Then just boot to floppy, when you get the "A:\ prompt" just type exactly like this:

nvflash -4 new.rom

Then press enter, once it says it's been done.....reboot and away she goes! If it makes you feel safer, PM me and attach your BIOS and I will mod it and send it back to you.

editing with nibitor is a no-brainer. Just make sure your temps are good before you overvolt, and if you do overvolt never select a voltage that has any ? in it.

OK did all this ( I wrote it down verbatim) I set bios to start from flopy and every thing goes fine but once I type nvflash -4 new.rom It loads up nvflash5.5 and tells me this .
Error no nvidea video adapter detected .
How do I send you the bioses I have ?

ok , am I dense or something? why get a fractional, less than 1% increase in real applications by flashing?

Yoo can oc very easily and not worry about it, even adjust the voltages..?
If I am wrong please show me some data that a plus 25 to 50 core change on a 600-700 core speed give more fps in your favorite game or in your 3d ap etc.

these 8800s are fast, and oc makes them a little faster, but is not the true speed in the archetecture, number of pipes shaders etc? as well as a nice set of numbers?
