Any reason furbench shows the CPU running at different speeds? Besides, it more useful to compare to Vista. And run multithreaded tests.

So you're comparing a next gen Server OS against a 5 year OS on an outdated CPU? It's like comparing XP to 98 on a Pentium 166. Of course 98 will win there.

I understand, though if you potentially give very wrong figures it's quite pointless.

Is the XP installation fresh, or is it your current installation? If Server08 for some reason does outperform XP I would be impressed, though I highly doubt it actually does seeing how Vista doesn't either. Then again if it does I got myself a DX10 upgrade for 2003 :)

its a 3 or 4 day old install of XP so a couple days older than the server 08 install and its patched up to SP2

as for the other stuff figures i kinda hope they are correct  im liking this new server program but remeber its in beta so MS still has plenty of time to mess it up before the final release

uhnluckily i cant seem to get AQ3/lightsmark or the other 3dmarks to run its wierd they all seem to be mad @ direct X and i checked my install and its just fine?
