Well that seems like a complete waste of money...

Just goes to show that 1gb gfx cards are not needed just yet.

You can also seen the same sort of trend with the 1gb 2900XT vs the 512mb version in a lot of the benchmarks. 512mb is easily enough mem even at higher res'.
