OCW said:Hybrid CrossFire brings CrossFire technology to IGP by speeding up 3D performance with the help of an external ATi graphics card. So far, cards that will work includes the 2400 series, 3650 series and 3670 series. It improves the performance of 3D with the help of CrossFire driver. In this test, we use driver 8.47RC1 with a 2400XT installed.
3Dmark06 results improved by 78.49% when Hybrid CrossFire is enabled on AMD 780G board with 2400XT. Initial score with IGX is 1167. When Hybrid CrossFire is enabled with beta driver, the score shot up to 2038. The improvement is close to 80%.
3DMark05 3D performance improves by 41% when Hybrid CrossFire is enabled on AMD 780G mainboard. This is achieved by inserting a 2400XT graphics card into the PCIe slot and setting the BIOS to boot from IGX first.
Initial score with the integrated graphics is 2503. After pairing it up with a 2400XT and Hybrid CrossFire enabled, it shot up to 3548.
