Dude, it's definitely worth it if you like the Warhammer 40K universe, even if you don't and you're new to it - it's a bloody fun game. I still haven't completeled Winter Assualt (the 2nd expansion) as I'm too busy playing it online, that and the fact I hate playing as the Imperial Guard.

Seriously though, if you think you'll find yourself playing it, then it's definitely worth it. If you ever wanted a game as well, I, and I expect my clan mates would be very keen to have a war.

I think that is the key to its success. Regardless of whether or not you liked Warhammer it is actually a good title and not just for fans odf the tabletop game.
