What motherboards support a 1.5 CAS latency setting besides the one you are using? Is it something that an updated bios could change?

These are no fake timings. :slap: These are 100% bonafidey, genuine timings. :p

I don't know of any other boards that currently support these timings. Or if there is a bios update for that. I do know that my board can go tighter!!

Perhaps I shall exploit my lifetime 3.5volt OCZ warrenty just a little further. ;)

I use the asus star ice cooler. http://uk.asus.com/products.aspx?l1=16&l2=65&l3=0&model=92&modelmenu=1
I use folding@home most of the time running at permanent 70% load and the temps hover roundabout 42-44degC. Ive never seen it above 47degC when fully loading it with games at the same time.
I think mine might not be a really high overclocker because I've only managed to get 2.65Ghz out of it but I have restricted myself with the voltage a bit. I've not dared put it at more than 1.55V in the bios which shows as about 1.50 in CPUZ.
Perhaps I shall experiment more with higher voltage. :p

The DFI LANParty UT RDX200 ATI Crossfire board has those timings

Oscar Wu found out how to make 4DS DIMMs run at 1T Command Rate and launched that solution with this board. He also claims that he has a working CAS 1.5 on the ATI motherboard, and the options for CAS 1.0 and 1.5 are available in the BIOS. Memory voltage extends to 4.0V, so any memory is supported, but this is done without special jumpers or a heat-producing work-around.

This is getting silly!

Well here's another first, for me at least.

Lovely new timings of 1.5-2-2-3 for my bh-5 chip memory.

I took my previous timings of 1.5-2-2-5 up to 260mhz without any issues.

Time to see how far these little babies can go!!! :rockout:

EXTRA!: Ok. So 1.5-2-2-3 is possible. Doesn't seem to be much difference in performace. Using Everest to check bandwidth.
It is interesting tho. :)

I think you'll find it's not TRUE 1.5 and that performace will be the same as CAS 2. The only board I know of which supports TRUE CAS 1 and 1.5 is the DFI RDX200 series. Also you should be able to get 1.5-2-2-0 or maybe even 1.5-2-1-0 but it's best to go for 2-2-2-5 or 2-2-2-6 otherwise it messes up your bandwith in some apps.

Your right on that one gollum.
Just booted up at 1.5-2-2-2.
Its still cool tho. :D
Better focus on the fsb then to improve performance!!

The geil 1 uses the same bh-5 chips as my OCZ does so i figured why not try it but like gollum said my board doesnt do true 1.5 CAS so pretty much non issue right now.
