Well, I've got a clean install of XP64 to play with. Made an image backup of it as well, so I can test to my heart's content! I've started with the 260 driver as Dead Rising 2 only has a sli profile in that driver.

you'll see update button. just push it

I did test your latest patch v0.9 + 260.63. I did a fresh install of Windows 7 Enterprise 32 bit on my test drive. I installed the system, then the patch, video drivers, Creative drivers and Creative Console. I played BC2 for 60 minutes and it works great. The only issue I get when the game starts itself in the minimized window on the desktop. I get a freeze and have to reboot. I think it has more to do with the fact that I am using a dual display. No such issues using a single display.

I am running q9550, Asus PQ5 Deluxe and GTX 260 26 in SLI.

Great job Anatolymik.:) Nvidia should hire you. :toast:

you sure can tell when the patch is working right....
everyone dont talk about having problems....instead they start talking about how it works.

those people are the ones that have everything working just fine.....well usually.

i did ask something about comparing 0.7x to 0.8x to 0.9x in a previous post in this thread because i was actually having problems with 0.8x

but you can really tell when people start asking "how does "0.9b" actually work with not mentioning the others that everything is working just fine.

thanks again to the dev for giving us this wonderful sli mod so we dont have to either get new motherboards (to goto intel) or new video cards (ati to make work in our amd motherboards)

thanks again

oh please, that would be horrible! Then we all have to buy Intel Mobos or AMD cards, as stated!:)

Well, same issue on this clean install of XP64, this is what I get:

When I try to boot with the sli enabled entry, I get a "corrupted or missing hal.dll".

Very odd. I'll have to find somewhere I can upload a 500mb rar file to then. It is a highly modified install, but only has junk removed, and all updates ect to Oct. I can't see how that would be a problem. I'll try a 3rd install with an unmodified version and see if it makes any difference.

Okay, just tried with a raw untouched install, still the same problem! I'll have to upload my disc somewhere then.

I'm sending it to megaupload, but with my upload speed it will take 1 1/4hrs. It's 1:30am here, so this will probably have to continue tomorrow.

Hi all! This is my first post here.
First of all I wish to express my gratitude to the developers of this wonderful patch, even though I haven't tried it out yet, but rest assured I certainly will.

Secondly I’m planning on purchasing a second GTX 470 and running SLI on an AMD board, namely the Gigabyte MA790FXT UD-5P.
On beforehand I would like to get a confirmation as to the steps to follow in order to get it working:

1.) Install second GTX 470 and connect SLI bracket then power off;
2.) Boot normally into Win 7 x64 and disable UAC;
2.) Install SLI patch 0.9b – run as administrator;
3.) Restart after successful install;
4.) On boot options screen choose and boot into SLI Win 7 x64 (newly created by SLI patch 0.9b);
5.) In Win 7 x64 in NV control panel enable SLI and game on

Is there any need to uninstall my currently installed NV drivers (258.96 - WHQL) and run driver sweeper in safe mode prior to plugging in the second GTX 470?

Do I need to uninstall reinstall 258.96 drivers, or is it safe to just proceed with direct install of SLI patch 0.9b as per my description above?

Should I disable UAC before executing the SLI patch? I’d like to keep everything as simple as possible, provided it’s working.

Thanks in advance for your kind responses.

I finally installed Windows 7 64 bit and tried 0.9b SLI patch with 260.63 drivers. The behaviour was quite different than with my default Windows 7 32 bit installation! For once I got the same APC_INDEX_MISMATCH BSOD but this time it happened only once, when I clicked to enable SLi in Nvidia Control Panel! This has never happened with the 32 bit windows. After the reboot, SLI was enabled, and I played some games. Then I rebooted again - no problem! And again and again and again - no problem, everything worked OK!

Hope this helps, Anatolymik :)

I think it's driver problem

It's ok, it's a minor nuisance for me. I'm only worried that with a new driver release NVIDIA will think of some new way to block the SLI for us...I hope you'll have the will power to continue this cat & mouse game :) Anyway you guys, the whole team, ROCK! :rockout:

Okay, pretty much 100% sli scaling in Dead Rising 2. Using the 260.63 drivers. Working very well!
