Best water Cooling kit ever

I have the first Gigabyte Galaxy water cooling kit and to this day i have not found a beter water cooling system. the galaxy 2 fixed some design flaws of the first one but is essentially the same. and it's not expensive. by better i mean keep's the processor the coolest, as it is bulky.

Well i'm not an expert, but I was told that the best water cooling is custom build. As in u chose the best pump, water block etc.

There is no good kit. Just good parts. Assembling yourself is the best way to go.

Do you work for Gigabyte? If you are to go a kit method the Swiftech kits cannot be beaten for simplicity or just pure cooling power.

H20 220 compact is the best kit out there. Custom built is MUCH better.

Why go kit when you can custom build. And probably for less. IF not less then at least you know everything in it is quality.

i guess people choose kits for simplicity and first time watercooling. I did, bought a bigwater kit and what a waste of money, spesh when an £11 freezer pro can perform just as well. Next H20 system i use will either be pre-built or the swiftech h20 compact. That said, a tuniq tower or xigmatex rifle will work just as well.

I agree building your own is better (component vs. rack system for those who bought stereo equipment in the 80's LOL).

Best turn-key case kit = Koolance

I've had the same case and kit for 6 years! Got a screaming deal @ $100 from Tigerdirect for the PC2 kit in 2002. Added a GPU cooler later. Used the same CPU block on 4 different processors. Changed the coolant once.

Cons: Afraid though, it's not enough these days, the fans ramp up (but not too bad) when room temps go over 80. Keeps the CPU below 45c just about all the time. Heavy ass case. Hoses are too small. But I'll keep it - plan on modding it eventually. Probably the most valuable part is the control PCB.

the only thing i would skip on in your prebuilt kit is the hose. You can go to ace hardware,lowes,home depot and get the same stuff for .78c a foot.

the Gigabyte Galaxy does a good job, but that prebuilt from Petra is dead nuts a hard on if I ever saw one. I like the one old dude did, but I hate teh clear reservoir

i modded my galaxy to use copper pipes and two 120mm fans on the radiator. keeps my cpu at less than 30 C under load (stock clocks). i was thinking of buying new smaller w/c kit with similar performance to build it into the inside of my case.

Just out of interest are there any good pre-built kits. As in maintenance free, sealed systems. For my first WC venture I would want to try that out first. I dont trust myself not to have it leaking.
Or is it better just to stick to air?

I'd take the vapochill LS over that any day, holds a watt load at better temps. plus it doesn't nickel and dime you to death, have to pay extra for the cpu kit and lcd temp monitor on the prometeia.

Seriously don't under estimate yourself. Its not hard to setup a water cooling loop. If you are really scared of leaks setup the entire loop before installing it in your case. Get all the components, which a good list has been posted by erocker, then set it up in a sink or on a table with paper towel and let it run for a few hours and look for leaks.

It's not that hard and if you can build your own custom computer you have the skills to build yourself a water cooling setup. Just go slow and be careful. Test before hand outside the box.
