Great review Pinchy, is this your first? I love the look of the cooler but its a big beast. Bigger than the old school TT Typhoon it looks, plus it looks like its either slanted or crooked. OVerall, pretty nice and Im surprised to see it did better than the Sunbeam Core Contact cooler on idle.

I actually prefer a cooler that is wider as opposed to higher (because the Gyre/CCF almost couldnt fit into my case! Almost touching side panel fan). But with a wider size comes compatibility issues

It was slanted, dont know if thats meant to be like that or not. Regardless, it wouldnt affect cooling performance much.

Yeah, I reckon even if the heatpipes were just made of copper it would have given some better results. But copper heatpipes would have thrown the aesthetic/design appeal off, so what they did is right.
