1. What is Futuremark OverclocKing Competition 2008 ?
Futuremark OverclocKing Competition 2008 is an overclocking competition sponsored by ASUSTeK Computer Inc. for systems with ASUS video cards or motherboards.
2. How do I participate ?
All valid and Futuremark approved 3DMark Vantage scores submitted to ORB within the competition time frame using the performance preset from systems with an ASUS graphics card or motherboard are automatically entered in the competition.
3. What is the competition timeframe ?
The competition runs from October 15th to October 28th 2008. The main competition page shows a counter with the exact time before the competition starts.
4. How is ASUS hardware identified ?
ASUS hardware is identified based on the system information included in the benchmark result. When the result is submitted to ORB, the website will automatically indicate whether the result is valid for the competition.
5. Do I need to have both ASUS motherboard and ASUS video card ?
No. Either ASUS motherboard *or* ASUS video card qualifies you to participate.
6. Do I need to purchase 3DMark Vantage to participate ?
No. You can use the free trial version. Make sure the email you use to request the trial key is valid - winners will be contacted through the email address used to request the key (trial) or purchase the key (paid versions).
