8600gt gpuz readings

anyone know why its reading my bandwidth and memory so high ?
and is the extra usable?

the readings compared to a 9600gt are higher

8600gt is overclocked and also your bus interface run at X8 instead X16.

without overclocking anything

everything is still rediculously high for an 8600gt
normal bandwidth is 22.4 gb/s and 128 bit ram and idk why everything is reading so high

might be a factory clock version of card?

EDIT: I see SP @ 128 for a 8600GT WTF???

and your Texture Filtrate is higher than mine

buswidth is 256-bit

what would that mean? and none of the readings were this high before i switched mobos i played around with the processor configuration but i was told even after doing so nothing would be unlocked
and my 3d mark score still only gets about 6000 :/

the readings are not right.
for an 8600GT
shaders should only be 32
bus width is 128-bit

IIRC, they made 8600GT v2 gpu's with a 256bit bus but I am not sure about the extra processors...

Unless you can provide a link, that is false.

maybe redownloading gpuz? and in rivatuner my bar reads (384 bit g84)
either way if the reading were correct would i be seeing any gain from it?

I am at school and half of the sites are blocked.. I saw some google links that showed 8600GTS 256bit but not GT.

You mean you tinkered around with it in Rivatuner? Sounds to me like the drivers are screwed up, as it is reporting it wrong in multiple locations. Maybe try uninstalling drivers, running driver sweeper, and then re-installing.

Now that is feasible if it is a GTS. There were rumors but until the OP uploads a bios and gives a subsystem report, GPUz is detecting the card wrong. Also leads me to beleive drivers have not fully matured for them yet either.

idk if that means anythign but i know i can turn it on or off now

if you can find a way for me to set it to x16 thatd be great but in the slots themselves you can physically see that only half the slot is filled with pins it is only x16 put together with another card

which brings me to my next point maybe someone with a x16 bus interface wants to try this because i saw no difference in my 3dmark score but maybe its becasue im running in x8?
someone else with an 8600 gt want to try this out for us?

how did you change the pipelines? I thought wayback geforce 7 unlocking pipelines is impossible because nvidia laserlock it?

go to rivatuner lowlevel settings nvstrap driver and check allow enabling hardware masking units if its the first time trying it itll ask you to install somethign i dont remember what it was but it allows you to use it
