My bad, very nice. I'd like to see a straight on shot too (front). You've got a lot of colors there but they look really nice together.

Does anybody have that NZXT Sentry LX Fan contr. + Cooler Master HAF932
installed with HAF932 orig. 230mm fans ? i just did but seems like this device does not accept only those ''Big (low rpm) fans'' ![]() problem seems to be NOT the controller @ the moment .. (as far controllers all 5 ports work with other (let say ordinary ~60mm ...120mm..140mm fans and other fans can be ''tuned'' or stopped!, but ''big fans'' does not allow adjustment via this NZXT Sentry LX? though HAF's 3x 230mm fans (start/running speed is 700 Rpm) rpm data can be read / is transferred correctly to controller, visible on lcd display! have even tested to break down their speed by hand they show the speed slowdown on display! .. but no selectable via NZXT Sentry LXso far have tried different things /cross switched all ports,/ manual and auto mode .. reset .. done all things what come in mind, but so far no success .. and still only those ''Big ones'' can't be adjusted or stopped via NZXT Sentry Lx BTW this 140mm 1000RPM (stock fan) can be selected and ajdusted to ~500rpm / + even stopped maybe? somebody have this same controller - or and have any ideas? Thanks ![]() -------- if there wasn't this problem ( assuming) the problem is just low RPM fans .. ![]() then it is ''cool'' stuff and fits very well with HAF'932 concept ![]() |

The Sentry only supports 4 watts per channel.
Those fans are 4.6 watts. They are drawing more then the controller can give. I ran a fan bus in my CAF to power the 230 fans and then use my Sentry to power the 140 and my CPU and NB/SB fans.

![]() And DarkSaber, you do really good reviews, cheers and keep it up! (this is now the second review to convince me of getting something, the other was the Corsair Obsidian lol)

ok this review is pretty old but the build quality of the Sentry LX is poor the LCD is very problematic and they did not include heatsinks which isn't necessary but I have seen them on controllers with 7 watts. it only has 4 watts per channel which can only run 1 high speed fan or 2 low speed fans.

Yeah +1 to what Bee said, I've read a few bad stories about the Sentry LX.

when I was writing my HAF 932 Cooling Guide a while back I came across a HAF 932 owner in the Gallery and he had the Sentry LX Fan Controller but couldn't get the 230mm fans started up so I am surprised i43 was able to. I looked into it at the time and read the Antec 200mm Big Boys cannot start up on the Sentry LX because they require a lot of power it has nothing to do with RPM. so I don't recommend using the Sentry LX with 200mm+ fans.

Well at most I was planning on having a 140mm or two hooked up to it, the rest to be 120mm's. Tbh I really don't see the point of those giant, lightweight plastic 'things'

LCD problems here as well. And the control was very limited. Reverted back to my zalman controller.
Not recommended. |

if you want to know how many fans you can daisy chain to one channel simply multiply the fan's amperage specification by 12 to get the wattage.

The lack of punctuation was so frustrating I stopped reading after the third line. But it is probably true. |
