Considering water cooling for new i7 machine.

Anyone want to suggest some hardware since i'm new to water cooling.

You can get by with a number of radiators. I would go with a 120.2 for the cpu. The Swiftech Apogee GTZ is a good cpu waterblock solution (current user), but there are a few blocks from in Europe which would probably give it a run for the money. I'm going to do a comparison of temperatures on my i7 and two different blocks in a week or two at the latest.

Anything else is just up to what kind of pump/res you want.

Like said above, a 120.2 radiator would suffice, a 120.3 if you really want good temps - as for the block id recommend the apogee or the D-Tek Fuzion.

A good pump is the Swiftech MCP655-B - it has some insane water flow per hour (i think it was 1300L/h)..

Also does anyone have any assembly techniques they would want to share?

You may have to find a water block that can go with a i7 but man my temps don't get above well look here .

Prime95 1 hour at full load and 3.6GHz oc !

How much would having a GPU on the system increase the overall CPU temps?

Drastic, noticeable, or insignificant?

Personaly I do not know but I would have to say it would be insignificant . The water that flows through out the system is quite fast and the fact that it has 1/2" fittings makes it even better for cooling . But again I do not know the real impact that cooling the video card as well would have .

I would say a very noticeable difference ... but it depends on how you set it up .
