Following Solaris17's success with his Crib thread, everyone seems to be doing videos. So I had the idea of getting a Video Gallery for Users Cribs, much like the Case Gallery. So based on erocker's recommendations, I'm starting it here, to see how well it does, maybe one day, W1zzard can make it a permanent feature!
So first things first, here are some rules:

Quote:
Rules

1, This is for videos related to Techpowerup's motto, "The Latest in Hardware & Gaming", but primarily for people to show off their cribs, mods, setups, etc. Basically when pictures just don’t cut it.

2, This first post will become the index of the Video Gallery (providing I can keep up with it, lol), I reserve the right not to include a video if it is not relevant, or if I get a request to have it removed.

3, Video's or links to videos of an offensive nature will be reported

4, Please use Youtube to host your video

5, Feel free to comment on other people's videos, but no flaming, no insulting, and although this is in general nonsense, stay on topic. I will be reporting to mods.

5, Techpowerup is not responsible for any external content which is linked to in this thread.

6, Please keep an eye on these rules, I may need to change, as (if) this thread develops.
Quote:
How to submit:

1, Make your video, try not to make it too long, maybe 5 - 10 mins max, unless you are doing a long mod, it is probably better to have more than one video.

2, Upload to Youtube.

3, Post in this thread, with a short (60 characters or less) name of what the video is about, and a link to the video(s), as well as how long your video is on for. If you want to write a more detailed description plus links to project logs, etc, do so in the same post and I will permalink to it from the Index. See my next post (reserved) for an example.

4, Please give me at least 24hrs after your post before PMing me that it has not been added to the index (I'm only one man!)

5, Videos will be in date descending order, so the most recent videos are at the top of the index. If you make a new video, of your crib, please say that in your post so I can remove the original from the index (if necessary).
Quote:
How to complain about a video

1, If it has only be posted in the thread and has not yet been added to the Index, please use the report button on the users post, it is a little red warning sign. (not the one on this post! )

2, If it has made it into the index, please PM me, I probably won't be able to watch all the vids for approval, so I'm relying on the rest of you, it is a community forum after all.

3, Only one PM is needed, if you know someone has reported it please don’t PM me again.

The rules are good nice and simple. I do think it would be easiest if we just post say Youtube links. I know my connection is pretty good but looking through the screenshot thread it takes a little bit to load sometimes. So anyone who's connection is less then desirable wont beable to enjoy it the same. Also when posting embedded some people will experience a auto play which I dont think I want 20 some odd video's potentially trying to stream.

I was taught by a jazz guitarist but really all we did was jam out. I listen to hardcore, metal, punk, stuff most people would call rap, electronica of all varieties, classical, and Indie.

The band I played in was a Indie Synth-core band based out of Chester PA. I love to play pretty stuff which is my shortcoming as a musician in the metal/hardcore genres but I can still get down.

Uploading my videos to youtube now. May take a little while, but they are coming. My camera ran out of memory, so I have a two part video.

It would be good if YouTube was the recommended way to go about it. Having to download a video is rather meh.

man, youtube takes for fucking ever to upload. Switching to file front. Anyone know how to decrease the size of the video? I am clocking in at 260 and 130 respectively on two videos. I didn't ever realise how big they were.
