I have 2 MSI HD4850's. Both of them i cannot connect DVI cable. I have to use a DVI-VGA adaptor and connect it to analog. I have tried my monitor on a x1900 card and it works with DVI. Then i tried my card in that machine with my monitor and it doesn't display. But i can hear my pc beeps and even hear the windows sounds. I then connected the X1900 in my pc and it worked with DVI. Is there maybe a bios fix i can use? Like another manufacter bios?

First thing you should do is email MSI and tell them your situation. They will most likely provide you with a bios that will work with your card and take care of the problem. Or someone else with your card and a good bios will come along. Good luck. :)

It's a known problem. Everything seems fine when you boot, but when the windows logo shows up... Screen goes black.

I have the same issue and i did try to find a fix and failed. Your stuck using DVI --> VGA for the time being.

ATI is aware of this "driver related" screwup and has not fixed it yet.
