Wireless Keyboard/Mouse Problem???

Hey guys,
When playing games online I notice a wierd occurence. For example, in CS:S or CS 1.6, when I am running around, for a second my mouse and keyboard will lock up and continue to go the direction I was going. I think this is due to the fact that I am using a wireless mouse and keyboard and just want to confirm this. Nothing goes wrong with the graphics or the gameplay. Could it be anything else?

I've had a similar problem like this with a cheap wireless keyboard I had, but that happened offline as well. My current wireless keyboard and mouse are fine, almost sounds like lagging but then the gameplay would be poor - do you have an old wired keyboard you could try out?

I do have my old wired keyboard, but it doesnt work anymore.
So I cant test it out with another since my other computer is a laptop.
It's the new Microsoft wireless optical mouse/keyboard and it seems like the keyboard/mouse signal is lost for a second. This didnt occur when I did use the wired keyboard/mouse. I just want to make sure it isnt my flat panel, since I installed both of them at the same time.

that does sound like wireless lag, i have tried 2 wireless systems, ms and logitek, both seem ok for the first hr, but after that and the batteries start t show wear, then you get that lag, personal opinion stik to wired, wireless is convinient for simple desktop usage, but hi spee3d fast respnse games, got to be wired.
its all in the sig

Bruin,
I had the same problem with my Microsoft Optical Keyboard\mouse and it was damn annoying. You will also find in games if you are confronted by someone and you pull the trigger they always get the shot in before you!!

To fix my problem I have just upgraded to a Sauté Eclipse Keyboard which seems to be very good. For a mouse I was hoping to get one of the Logitech Gaming mouse. However, I have asked the question about wire over wireless in the Gaming thread and I look forward to seeing peoples opinions.

well i had thought of my ping timeing but sometimes my ping is as low as 50 and i still get shot first!!

I dont feel any lag so it must be a split second thing.

i aint played online for some time but from what i remember u dont see your own lag its just what u see is a split second behind what the other guys sees.. which gives him the edge.. not sure just how much it applies with todays broadband connections thow..
