I just canceled an order at the original price so I can reorder with the double discount but have to wait until the funds are refunded back to my account.
I hope both the sale and promo code are still good after monday.
Would love to save the $45 even if they are charging me $6 extra for shipping on the tube of MX-2 I'm adding to the order.

I'll probably miss out on both discounts and have to pay full price though knowing my luck.

They changed the price. They must have made a mistake sometime this morning cause last night it was 214.99 before i went to bed, then this morning 189.99.

Saw it on hardforum hot deals this morning (http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1411557), it's been changing around on newegg and zipzoomfly as well. With the 955 coming (April 20th?) I'd expect this isn't the last of the deals on the 940.

I paid $182 but only because I needed a tube of MX-2 to go with it and they tacked on shipping for that

. But still $182 compared to the $230 I would have paid a week ago is great. Can't wait to get it and see how it does.

I remember how much the old FX 53,55 and 57s were and how lucky we are to get 940s for under $200.

As I mentioned in the AM3 955 News section, I bought a S939 X2 3800 for $150 like 1.5 to 2 yrs ago and my first AMD K6 2 500 Mhz machine bundle was around $1100. Now we get monster CPUs for fraction of the cost. Oneway thanks to Intel for bringing out Core arch.
