I gotta admit, there's been some absolutley awesome PC games coming this way from the Russian market . . . mostly thanks to GSC and STALKER.

I know right? I'm tempted to play, but I'm afraid I'll regret it with no physx effects..
EDIT: actually just tried playing.. Almost unplayable with any settings... Even renamed exe to get crossfire working.. nope.

Have it , played it for about 30 mins so far. Shadow, this game loves to eat vid card framebuffer for dinner, so you may want to bump down the res a notch or 2. My GTS wont even touch 1080p with ths game. 1680x1050 works well on med-high. Oh also Imperial_Reign, its a great game!

Haven't tried anything other than 1920x1080... I guess I can lower the res but that's lame. What's the point of having one of the fastest video cards if you have to turn down settings for unoptimized games :shadedshu

Clear Sky actually runs awesome with sun shafts(more like performance shafter..) off. I just tried 1680x1050 with everything on the lowest and I still get below 25FPS.

It seems like a good game but sadly I can't even get 30 fps with it so I won't be playing it unless a patch comes out that's fixes performance for ati cards, the game is optimized for nvidia.

this - I've actually grown to not only come to expect . . . but also be frustrated with. AMD's Game! campaign still pales in comparison to nVidia's TWIMTBP program . . .

but, I'm sure it'll continue until AMD is back into a position where they can start coughing up more funds to the program and help with development assistance . . . just like everyone else, AMD is feeling the recession pretty hard - and they didn't have deep pockets to begin with.

I hate this game, my GTX 260's fps drops to like 20 after opening that first hatch and its horrible from there on.

This game makes crysis look so easy to run . . . .

Runs ok (30fps+) with my GTX 280, 1680x1050 8xAF and AA on, all maxed except:
shadows medium
water caustic off (that was a FPS killer with water on screen)
blurs off (don't like it on any game).

Trying to buy a used 8600GT if I get one will try it for physics if it would give a boost.

But if you have anything below GTX 260, don't get it

Looks great, but it'll suck the life out of your GPU

Also heats thing up, 100% with auto fan when I still had my stock cooler. Wouldn't say it's badly coded for nvidia, but probably isn't optimized for ati reading different forum posts.

Think of it like Oblivion, in couple years it'll run great

Hell yeah!! Metro 2033 looks hella promising man! Been looking forward to it for a while

Russians just seem to know how to make fantastic dark post-apocalyptic type of games.

I signed up trying to troubleshoot another problem - and as soon as i got some advice and wanted to dig deeper the problem just disappeared without a trace

The Zone won't go anywhere, i'll get back there sooner or later; actually right now i'm running around with crowbar and gravity gun for a change.

As for Cryo...
The fact that demo is for Vista only makes me a bit paranoid... ah hell, i'll try it out anyway.
